About
Erin Lentz-McMahon is an experienced and zealous criminal defense lawyer who focuses her practice primarily on criminal appeal and post-conviction relief matters. She has vast legal background and experience handling appellate and Post-Conviction Relief Act (PCRA) matters.
Early in her career, Ms. Lentz-McMahon spent several years handling appeals and PCRA cases in the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. Previously, she served as a law clerk for former Justice Sandra Schultz Newman on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court where she honed her exemplary constitutional law research and writing skills and participated in writing opinions for the Court. Ms. Lentz-McMahon also served as a law clerk in Montgomery County for the Honorable Gail A. Weilheimer, who was recently elevated to a Federal judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Lentz-McMahon joined the law firm of McMahon, Lentz & Thompson as a partner in 2011 after operating her own private law practice from 2009-2010.
Ms. Lentz- McMahon’s attention to fine details of a case, analyzing the applicable legal issues and constructing strong and persuasive legal arguments are her greatest strengths. Unlike many appellate lawyers, Ms. Lentz-McMahon always maintains good communication with her clients and skillfully applies all of her knowledge and experience to achieve the best possible results for those clients.

Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania campus, and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Gannon University, a private Catholic school in Erie, Pennsylvania
Other Interests
Ms. Lentz McMahon is an avid paper crafter. She is an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator who has a Facebook group called “Creative Roses” and YouTube channel where she posts some of her creations. She is married to her law partner John McMahon, Jr. and is a step mother to three adults, and a devoted dog mom to Lagertha.
